New Gartner Magic Quadrant Released: Network Performance Monitoring and Diagnostics (NPMD)

We have been watching this space – and in particular Riverbed – for the past several years.  When they announced their plans about four years ago to get into this market, few understood what they were trying to achieve, how it complimented the product offering, or how they were going to execute.  Following a few successful acquisitions and heavy integration efforts, the program is coming together nicely.  Good on Riverbed!  The exclusion on the list are interesting – some for seemingly simplistic rationale… but I guess Gartner had to draw the line somewhere.  Good to see the influencers were included and why they did not make the grade.
